Matthew Klein is a Principal at Optima Global Trading and serves as Head of Corporate Strategy and Operations. In this capacity, he oversees the firm’s strategic growth initiatives, operational infrastructure, and regulatory compliance framework across global offices. He has been a key driver in aligning Optima Global’s private markets and public markets platforms with long-term institutional client objectives.

Before joining Optima Global in 2011, Matthew spent over a decade at J.P. Morgan in New York, where he rose to Executive Director within the Investment Banking Division, advising clients on capital markets, debt restructuring, and strategic M&A. He also worked at Barclays Capital, where he focused on cross-border transactions in the industrial and consumer sectors.

Matthew is frequently invited to speak at industry events on the topics of global capital flows, operational resilience in asset management, and the evolution of regulatory standards for private funds.

He holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Economics from Boston College.
