Marco Conti is a Principal at Optima Global Trading and Head of International Business Development. In this role, he manages the firm’s relationships with institutional investors, private banks, and family offices across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He is also responsible for leading the business development teams in these regions, focusing on global distribution strategy and long-term client partnerships.

Since joining Optima Global in 2015, Marco has been a driving force in expanding the firm’s footprint in EMEA and Asia, successfully establishing partnerships with sovereign wealth funds and pension plans. He has also been actively involved in the development of Optima’s cross-border investment solutions, tailoring products to meet the needs of international investors.

Prior to Optima Global, Marco was a Vice President in international sales at Permal Group, covering Southern Europe and the Middle East. Earlier in his career, he worked as an associate in client coverage at J.P. Morgan Asset Management.

Marco holds an M.B.A. from INSEAD and a B.A. in Business and Economics from Sapienza University of Rome. He frequently speaks at international investor conferences on global distribution trends and the evolving role of alternative investments in institutional portfolios.
